How to get to Bishop's University

The retreat will be at Bishop's University in Lennoxville (close to Sherbrooke in Quebec) in a beautiful area known as the Eastern Townships about 2 hours from Montreal by car.

To get there with our shuttle or by public transportation

We are organizing a shuttle to get from Montreal to Bishop. See the page about shuttle and busses. It also contains information and links if you plan getting there by public transportation.

To get there by plane:

To get from Montreal Trudeau airport (Dorval) to Lennoxville where Bishop's University is, consider using our shuttle (if your plane's scheduled time allows it). If not you can use public transportation. In both cases, you'll have to first get from the airpoty to Montreal's "Berri-UQAM". The page about busses and shuttles has all the details.

To get there by car:

Ottawa to Montreal, then to LENNOXVILLE

• Get to Montréal via the 417.
• Follow sighs to the Exit for Champlain Bridge
• Continu straight through and you will be on Autoroute 10
• For the rest, see the next step and attached map

From Toronto to Montreal, then to LENNOXVILLE

• Get to Montréal via the 401.
• Follow sighs to the Exit for Champlain Bridge
• Continu straight through and you will be on Autoroute 10

From Montreal to Lennoxville

• Take Highway 10 (the Eastern Townships highway), towards Sherbrooke.
• Continue until Exit 143 –exit towards Thetford Mines, Lac Mégantic and Fleurimont.
• Take Exit 146 towards Boulevard St-François.
• Turn Left onto that boulevard towards Sherbrooke. You will be driving alongside St-François river.
• After 4,3 km, you will pass the St-François bridge, then, Blvd St-François becomes a one-way street. You will cross King St(Route 112). Continue straight ahead.
• You need to get to the end of Blvd St-François (0,7 km after King St). Turn left onto Jean-Maurice Street
• Jean-Maurice St is very short & ends at Bowen Street Sud; turn right onto Bowen.
• Bowen St ends 2 km after the street lights at Galt Street, in front of you , you will see Woodward Street: you must NOT take this but rather turn right under the bridge for the train tracks. (You will see a sign for camping here)
• You are now on St-Francis Street (only indicated further on).
• At the 3rd arrêt-stop after the bridge, continue right along St-Francis Street.
• You will then cross a bridge above the Saint-François River. Université Bishop will be just in front of you..
• Turn left after the bridge and then immediately right to go the University’s main entrance
• Welcome: Bienvenue!.

Attention… To leave, take the same route back except do not return to Blvd St-François via Jean-Maurice St. Continue along Bowen St until after you cross King Street (Route 112). There will be indications for Highway 10 as Bowen St joins up with Blvd St-François. Have a good trip home!

From Quebec city to Lennoxville

Please see the above map (in section from Montreal to Lennoxville): the instructions are the same once ou're on highway 10.

• Take Highway 20 West towards Montreal.
• In Drummondville, take Exit 173 towards A55 South and Sherbrooke.
• Continue until Exit 143, take it towards Highway 10, Lac Mégantic and Fleurimont
• BE CAREFUL! Exit 143 follows Exit 58!

• Take Exit 146 right towards Boulevard St-François.
• Turn left onto that bouleverd towards Sherbrooke. You will be driving alongside St-François river.
